A member of Trindent’s Executive Advisory Board, Oscar brings a wealth of experience in assurance, product innovation, non-traditional insurance distribution, and structured reinsurance. Through a number of senior executive roles, Oscar has focused on corporate oversight, insurance risk management, and custom reinsurance business development.

Oscar previously acted as the CEO of the insurance arm of one of Canada’s premier banks. One of his achievements was the expansion of the bank’s insurance business through a combination of building up insurance brokerage, affinity distribution/reinsurance programs, as well as standalone Life and P&C risk-taking through direct insurance and reinsurance subsidiaries.

Throughout his career, Oscar has had senior roles in corporate actuarial, asset-liability management, individual product pricing (both PAR and non-PAR) in North America, as well as U.S. Pensions, Canada Pensions, and U.S. Variable Insurance. Oscar is a retired former Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and the American Academy of Actuaries.
